Konica takes this idea one step further, by integrating colour and B&W output capabilities -- at not much more than the cost of current B&W printer/copier. Any environment with high-volume to medium-volume document traffic can benefit from the bizhub C450.

Features & Available Options High-speed network printer The C450's high-speed network printer functions enable it to deliver superior prints at 35 pages/min*¹ in colour or 45 pages/min*¹ in black & white. The printer language is compatible with PCL XL and PostScript3, allowing smooth output in a multi-platform environment. The optional Fiery printer controller*² allows the C450 to meet the DTP needs of demanding graphic users. Network scanner for easy data sharing The C450's versatile network scanner functions handle both colour and black & white documents at a speedy 38 pages/min.*¹ and convert the data into PDF, TIFF, or JPEG. The Compact PDF function can compress the original data significantly*². These files can be easily attached to e-mails or sent to servers and PCs. Furthermore, the C450 lets you send data to multiple destinations simultaneously, enabling you to handle data efficiently. Box function for efficient data handling The Box function provides users with a secure, efficient way to store copied documents, faxes, and scanned data in the C450's large-capacity hard disk drive. Users can store up to 3,000 documents or 9,000 pages in the Box. The stored information can then be distributed or reprinted at any time. Advanced security The C450 is equipped with a host of security functions to safeguard valuable data and proprietary information. Advanced functions such as password protection and IP filtering, network authentication, data communication encryption, password lock, and more are included. Versatile document output functions With the optional PC-402, the C450 holds up to 3,400 sheets, plus all paper feed trays can accommodate thick paper, up to 256 g/m². Printing on postcards, envelopes, and OHP film is also possible by using the first drawer and Multiple Bypass Tray. Standard duplex function and other finishing functions such as sorting, stapling, hole punching, folding, and saddle stitching make it easy to create professional-looking documents. Superb image quality Advanced image processing and the oil-free Simitri™ polymerised toner with highly uniform 6.5μm particles bring colour business documents with crisp text reproduction as well as rich colour gradation.
